
Rosie Perez was born Rosa Maria Perez 6 September 1964. She is an American actress. Her first role in the role of Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Fearless (1993). Perez has starred in many films since that time and has appeared in films such as It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado ((2000), Pineapple Express (2008) and Birds of Prey (2021). She was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, one for In Living Color (1990-1994) as well as another nomination for her performance in the role of The Flight Attendant (2020-2021). She has appeared in Broadway stage plays such as The Ritz and Frankie, Johnny in the Clair de Lune and Fish in the Dark. She was also a co-host on the ABC talk show The View during the series in its 18th season. She attended Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood. Her mother lived in poverty in Woodside Houses by 1999. Her death was due to AIDS-related complications in the year 1999.
