
Pichai Sundararajan better known as Sundar Picha, is an Indian-American business executive. He is the chief executive officer (CEO), of Alphabet Inc.'s subsidiary Google. Born in Madurai, India.[4] Pichai graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a degree in metallurgical engineer. After moving to the United States, Pichai earned an M.S. After moving to America and completing an M.S. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University. After a brief stint with McKinsey, Pichai moved to Google in 2004. He was responsible for the creation of Google Drive as well as innovation and product management. In addition Pichai went on to supervise the development of other apps like Gmail and Google Maps. In 2010 Pichai also declared the open-sourcing of the new video codec VP8 developed by Google and also introduced the brand new format for video, WebM. In 2012, the Chromebook was released. In 2013 Pichai added Android to the catalog of Google products that he managed.
