Amanda Blake, born as Beverly Louise Neill, was an incredibly popular American actress. Most famously, she was known for playing the role of actress Miss Kitty Russell in the TV show 'Gunsmoke'. Alongside this the show, she also appeared in the television shows "The Red Skelton Show", "Tattletales" and "The Edge of Night". She was a co-founder alongside her husband Frank Gilbert of the Arizona Animal Welfare League. Blake was a former director of the Humane Society of the United States. Blake has been awarded many honors which include being inducted into Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
