Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, born Jan. 19, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. to twelve poor children that would be raised with them eventually. She learned young the way to conquer of the challenges she encountered thanks to her incredibly creative imagination. The songs she wrote were composed before she had the ability to write or read. As a young girl, she got the first electric guitar. Then she started singing at an Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. She recorded her first album within the same calendar year Gold Band Records, a small label that was an independent. While she was studying, she had established a name for herself locally. However, her goal was to be more widely acknowledged. She relocated to Nashville the day after graduating in 1964. The first charting record she had on Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated TV show host was at the time looking for a woman to sing in his show. Parton was brought on in the year she signed with RCA Records by 1968, and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry. The show ended in 1974 when her solo releases such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were out-charting their collaborations. After their split, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it made it to Number. 1 for the very first time in 1974.
